In 1945, what began as a humble tea stall in Fancy Bazaar soon grew into the first Bhartiya Jalpan, where handcrafted mithai, namkeens, and traditional snacks won the hearts of generations. Over the decades, Bhartiya Jalpan has evolved while staying true to its roots. Many of our signature creations—including Dilkushal, Kalakand, Ras Madhuri, Kaju Barfi, HM Bhujia, and Dal Kachori—continue to be crafted using Girdhari Maharaj’s original recipes, preserving the taste that generations have grown up with. Since 2017, we have thoughtfully reimagined the brand for the modern era, expanding across Guwahati and Bangalore with stores that bring together mithai, namkeen, chaat, wholesome meals, and curated gifting experiences.
